But I wanna...

I wanna update, I really do, but there is a problem with my keyboard to computer or something because it takes me forever to type because the keys don't always register - so until it gets figured out, no updates. (And no its not the keyboard because it is brand new)

An Award?? For me??

Wowza, I won an award from a dear friend of mine! I think she just took pity on me as she must have somehow known I was jealous of all of the blogging awards she (well the awards her pig Sullivan) wins. But I am keeping it! You can't take it from me!!

This is what the award is all about:

"This award is bestowed on to blogs that are exceedingly charming.
These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers.
Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

So yeah, I don't have 8 people to give this too....So I will give it to as many as I can though!!

http://blondheart.blogspot.com/ - Kelly, a really nice lady I have met online who makes the most adorable stuffed creatures

http://jennipal.blogspot.com/ - Jennifer, a great gal who is living her life in Korea with a great guy, and who just got married!

http://aoteaadventure.blogspot.com/ - Amy, a super nice lady who recently moved to New Zealand with her boyfriend to escape the Prairie winters I think ;)

So, 3 out of 8, that's not bad....I would send it to Sullivan, but he already got one ;)

Smack me with a spoon...

I know, I know, I said I would post and I didn't. Bad me. You can smack me. Go on, you know you want to. But what if I came up with a really really great excuse like "My dog ate my computer" or "The voices weren't talking to me anymore"? What that be okay?

Seriously though, I have just been busy with "stuff". Time seems to fly by and boom, the day is over and my head is crashing onto my pillow. Maybe I need to learn how to manage my time better...eh, who knows and who cares. What happens in a day happens, and if it doesn't, 'twas not meant to be.

And I really don't have time for a longer post today, I just thought I would drop by and post some pictures of one of the projects I have done lately. I have gotten a "sewing bug" it would seem so I have got my machine out, and I am sewing up a storm!!

No, not really.

Just one dress for my Princess thus far, but more on the way hopefully! I hope to make another tonight for her, because she truly is the textbook princess with wanting to wear dresses ALL the time. Seriously, right now she has a skirt overtop of her jeans because skirts and dresses are a MUST. I am not sure how I got such a girlie girl. hahaha I was/am the ultimate tomboy and all this pink, sparkles and dresses where never my thing. Oh well, we can teach each other a thing or two! Its been fun so far and I am glad to have such a precious little being in my life.

Anyways, on to the pictures I say!

First and foremost, a picture of the material - I made a pretty knot dress for the summertime, and as it is mainly white, she will only get to wear it for special occasions - but have no fear, I have already bought more material to make her one that she can wear anytime. I do want to find her some skull material though (pink and black would be perfect!!) and I will, but it may have to be ordered on the internet as the store here carries nadda cool.

I said there would be pictures didn't I?

And now a picture of the dress....

And a picture of the Princess wearing said dress....

She went to bed knowing that I was making her a dress, so the first thing she asked me when she woke up was "Where is my new dress Mommy". No Good Morning, no hello, just wanted to know where the goods were....typical girlie girl (;

Well, I need to get cracking on the next one - so that she has something to wear of course, because the child of course doesn't have enough clothes 0_o according to her. Oh, and what I love the most about the knot dress is that the straps are knotted (hence the name huh?) and therefore you can adjust them to fit the child as she grows! How cool is that??

Good bye for now!

More updating...

Wow, that is a catchy, witty title I tell ya....I always have wished that I could come up with really cool titles, but alas, that is not my knack in life. hahaha

Anyways, onto the update, of which I believe we are into November. Oh before I start, I have decided to change my daughter's name as well in all the posts to Princess because I haven't felt comfortable with having it on here. Okay, November was pretty uneventful - we put up our tree (yep, I am THAT person! hehehe)

And of course a complete family photo

And oh, did I say November was uneventful? I may have been fibbing a bit...hehehe We packed up and flew to Victoria, BC to visit my Dad and Step-Mom! It was a lot of fun and we were sad as always to leave the beautiful weather and of course our family.

Princess and Andrew on the flight to Victoria - who ever decided to put TV's in the seats was a GENIUS!

The view of the lower pond at my Dad's place....his backyard is GORGEOUS, but that can be said of 98% of the island though...

Princess feeding ducks at the upper pond, which she did daily of course!

And what is a trip to Victoria without a trip to the Bug Zoo! Princess held everything she possibly could and was afraid of nothing! That's my girl! She wanted to hold the tarantula as well, but because it is so fragile, she had to settle for petting its belly.

We also went to the Butterfly Gardens, but I don't have very good pictures as my camera kept fogging up because it was so humid inside. But the place is beautiful...and besides, all I really have is pictures of butterflies, and the website's pictures do it better justice...

So on the days went, and they went by far too fast, but her is the required trip to the ocean - which is only a five minute walk from my Dad's house...

Well, that takes us to the end of November, next post will be December!! See ya tomorrow!

Updatedness...

Well, finally I am taking a moment to update, and I gotta say, it is going to take me a while as I am sure I will do it over hours instead of minutes....maybe that is the trick to this whole blog thing - start a post and take my time doing it - a minute here, a minute there and maybe I will do a post more often than once every four months....now that is something to shoot for! haha

Anyways, it has most definitely been a while since I last wrote an update...so I have a few things to catch up on. I believe the last thing I wrote about was Princess' dance class so I will begin at Halloween.

Halloween was alot of fun! Princess' playschool did a cowboy day for them that included a bouncy house, which of course all the kiddos loved. Princess picked her own costume this year, and she chose to be a BAT! No princess, butterfly or girlie costume for her. haha And then on the day of Halloween, Andrew and I took Princess out trick or treating of course and she got quite the haul!

The day before Halloween we of course carved pumpkins, and Princess loved to stick her hands inside and bring out all the icky guts!

Well, that is all the catching up for tonight! I promise I will be back tomorrow with more!!

She's Here!!

Hello everyone! I know, I know, I am a terrible blogger! I never ever update because I never seem to have time or know what to say! I am a terribly private person and I find blogs so hard to do! But I try....

Anyways, the reason for the post is that I got something in the mail today that brought a huge smile to my face!! Moira arrived!! And now you are going "who is Moira??" Well, let me explain, she is a little pig from the Netherlands, and is cousin to Sullivan, a pig whose blog I follow. Well, I got talking with Sullivan's owner, to whom I am good friends with, and I suggested that maybe one of Sullivan's relatives would like to come and visit with us, and Moira volunteered for the task! She is going to get to travel with us and explore Canada....and since the area around where we moved to recently is still unexplored by me, she gets to do that with us too! My daughter is very excited to and got to take the first picture with the recently arrived Moira!

And then a picture of Moira getting a hug from Princess

Well, that is it for now, as we are on our way out! I promise a better update soon, as I do have lots of pics of happenings since I last made a post...take care!!
